Shift: 24x7 Rotational Shifts

Role Overview

This role requires a strong understanding of high-availability setups, cluster management, and real-time troubleshooting in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases in a highly available 24x7 environment.
- Set up and manage PostgreSQL PCS clusters.
- Monitor and optimize database performance.
- Perform database hardening, patching, and upgrades.
- Implement and maintain replication and Link Servers.
- Develop and test backup and recovery strategies.
- Execute database migrations to newer PostgreSQL versions with mínimal downtime.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and compliance teams to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents with mínimal downtime.
- Develop scripts for automation of routine DBA tasks.
- Document all processes, configurations, and SOPs.
- Stay updated on latest PostgreSQL features, tools, and best practices.

Must-Have Skills
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
- Experience in PostgreSQL troubleshooting, performance tuning, cluster setup, replication, and backup/recovery.
- Proven experience with PCS Cluster setup (mandatory).
- Practical experience in PostgreSQL migrations and patching.
- Strong SQL scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Experience with database security hardening.
- Exposure to compliance processes (audit, documentation, and security reviews).

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
