Here, every grain of sediment counts towards a brighter, cleaner future. **Harness the Power of Diatoms Join our Global Team Today** **Job Title**: Core Sampling Expert **Company**: 1010 Solutions **Location**: Uttar Pradesh (Onsite) **Responsibilities**: - Define the sediment sampling strategy based on project requirements and objectives. - Select the appropriate sediment corer based on the sampling requirements and sediment characteristics. - Conduct onsite sediment sampling activities, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines. - Collect sediment samples using the selected corer, ensuring proper depth and location. - Research of data in literature around river beds. - Isotope testing / analysis for carbon 12, carbon 13, carbon 14. - Maintain detailed records of each sampling activity, including location, date, time, and other relevant information. - Monitor and track the progress of sediment sampling operations to ensure timely completion. - Collaborate with other team members and professionals involved in the project to ensure effective coordination and data accuracy. - Handle the transportation and storage of sediment samples in a secure and appropriate manner. - Communicate and coordinate with the laboratory personnel responsible for sediment analysis. - Analyze the sediment report received from the lab, interpreting the findings and providing insights. - Prepare accurate and comprehensive reports summarizing the sediment sampling activities and results. - Assist in the maintenance and calibration of equipment used for sediment sampling. **Requirements**: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as geology, environmental science, or a related discipline. - Proven experience in onsite core sampling activities, preferably in sediment sampling. - Strong knowledge of sediment coring techniques, equipment, and sampling protocols. - Familiarity with sediment analysis methods and interpretation of laboratory reports. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. - Experience with geochemistry. - Prior experience around the permanence of carbon in sediments. - Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient sampling operations. - Ability to work independently and effectively in a field environment, adhering to safety guidelines. - Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and laboratory personnel. - Familiarity with Uttar Pradesh, India, and its geographical features would be an advantage.
