A garment merchandiser's responsibilities include:

- **Product development**: Collaborate with designers to create apparel products that meet design concepts, while considering factors like fabric selection, construction techniques, and cost
- **Sourcing**: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and manufacturers
- **Sampling**: Create product prototypes before starting bulk production
- **Vendor relations**: Maintain good relationships with vendors, suppliers, and distributors, and coordinate with them to establish profitable deals
- **Quality assurance**: Ensure the quality of products and collections, from the early stages of design
- **Inspection**: Inspect products for quality and compliance with industry standards
- **Planning**: Plan for the entire production process and financial process
- **Shipping**: Ensure all shipping documents are prepared, and arrange for shipping
- **Communication**: Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong listening, presentation, and decision making skills

Other responsibilities of a garment merchandiser include:

- Calculating prices
- Preparing sales figures
- Giving policy guidelines to buyers
- Monitoring stock management
- Preparing purchase orders
- Negotiating with buyers, factories, and others about cost price
- Approving samples
- Scheduling and tracking factory production
- Monitoring all production processes

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
