**Position Name: -** Career Counselor.

**Experience required: -** Minimum 2-5 years of experience in career counseling in educational institute preferably in the field of advertising and marketing agency or any other industry.

**Educational Qualification required: -** Graduate or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Industrial psychology, social development, human resources, or similar. Graduate degree in counseling plus or License in Counselling.

**Preferred: - **Two years of classroom teaching experience or prior experience as a career counselor.

**Salary Offered: -** Negotiable.

**Job Location: -** Malad West, Mumbai.

**Job Responsibilities:

1. Advise students about what courses and educational programs they need for particular careers.

2. Evaluate clients' educational and work backgrounds in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals.

3. Guide students in determining their interests and abilities using a wide range of methods, such as aptitude assessments, interviews and planning materials.

4. Determine appropriate assessments and interventions required to assist students.

5. Market recruitment services and develop partnerships with employers to identify employment opportunities and engage their participation in campus recruitment services such as on-line job listing service, resume referral, on-campus interviews, career fairs and information sessions.

6. Offer focus and clarity to struggling students in selecting career paths and majors

7. Monitor student progress and reports to determine potential problems

8. Prepare weekly reports for submission to department head

5. **Interpersonal Skills: -** Being able to work with different types of people is essential for counselors. They spend most of their time working directly with clients and students or other professionals and need good working relationships.

6. **Excellent Judgment and Strong listening skills: -**Good listening skills are essential for school and career counselors. They need to give their full attention to their students and clients to understand their problems.

7. Investigative and Assessment skills.

8. Knowledgeable about ever-changing trends across all dominant industries.

9. Willingness to work on-call
