Employee Relations Investigator

**Responsibilities**: - Participates in a range of regulatory exams and internal audit reviews. - Responds to workplace concerns on behalf of senior management. - Works with the Employment Law team in the investigation of and response to agency charges and litigation. - Partners with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, Citi Security and Investigative Services and Audit on investigations of employee misconduct. - Assists in the design, development and/or delivery of training initiatives for HR. - All other duties as assigned. **Qualifications**: - 6-10 years of experience **Education**: - Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required. **(C13) Employee Relations Investigator**: The Employee Relations Investigator’s primary responsibilities are to conduct investigations of HR-related concerns escalated to the Employee Relations & HR Policy COE (“COE”) from all sources, and to facilitate Global Disciplinary Review meetings. The role requires a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments in Employee Relations investigations and Employment Law and contributes to the COE’s directional strategy. **Key Responsibilities**: - Conduct independent investigations of complex HR-related concerns, including Ethics Office, executive and other escalations in order to thoroughly fact find, reach investigative conclusions, recommend resolutions and mitigate risk to the franchise within prescribed timeframes. - Facilitate Global Disciplinary Review meetings at all levels and regarding substantiated investigations by all investigative units, including critical thinking to review and credibly challenge investigation findings. - Act as a change agent to identify and provide solutions for enhancements and efficiencies in the ER investigative process and GDR meetings. - Adhere to established, and evolving standards, for detailed, auditable and required documentation. - Foster strong work relationships and collaboration with key investigative partners (HR Legal, ICRM, CSIS and the Ethics Office). - Track and analyze trends, diagnose root causes, and develop recommendations for corrective strategies. - Exceptional report writing and the ability to deliver clear and concise investigative summaries in accordance with applicable requirements. - Conduct investigations of concerns arising in the Asia clusters and other regions as needed. **Qualifications**: - At least four years Employee Relations or Employment Law experience or equivalent. - Extensive investigation experience. - Knowledge of employment policies, practices and employment laws and regulations. - Ability to build solid relationships at all levels and influence collaborative outcomes, and particularly facilitation skills. - Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and across all functional areas, particularly senior levels (including business/function heads). - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Self-motivated and with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong analytical and organizational skills. - Consistent demonstration of ownership and accountability (driven to “do the right thing”). - Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented, intense environment, and across multiple time zones. - Experience working globally (preferred).**Job Family Group**: Human Resources - **Job Family**: Employee Relations - **Time Type**: Full time - Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
