**Job responsibilities**:

- Dispensing of medicines as per prescription under Drug & Cosmetic Act 1940
- Patient counselling and compliance to treatment
- Storage and stability responsibility of drugs as per specification (Sch. P)
- Custody of prescription medicines and segregation for non-prescription medicine
- Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of drugs
- Inventory of medicines and management
- Information management for drugs
- Patient history maintenance
- Knowledge of first aid
- Emergency treatment
- Knowledge about laboratory related hazards (eg. Injuries due to lab chemicals, accidents due to fire and gas labs) fainting
- Patient counselling with regard to medicines and diseases
