**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment including conveyors, extruders, and other machinery
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and replacing parts as necessary to prevent equipment breakdown.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, oiling, and greasing mechanical equipment, and inspecting belts, pulleys, bearings, and other components to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
- Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures

**Qualifications**:

- ITI Maintenance Fitter certification
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and repair in an industrial setting, preferably in an extrusion plant
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
