a) Finalizing the month plan, arranging for raw materials and packing materials and framing the production schedules in various equipment as per requirements with due consideration of all priorities.

b) Ensuring effective implementation of month plan and also incorporating changes of schedules as per requirement of customers.

c) Co ordinating with other functions for plan implementation and for resolution of any problem thereof.

d) Studying, monitoring and implementing appropriate work practices with the objectives of ensuring settlement norms, shop floor disciplines with respect to ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.

e) Solving routine shopfloor problems on a daily basis and also be actively involved in trouble shooting and engineering related problems.

f) Initiating and implementing appropriate steps to control the cost by optimizing efficiencies of resources utilized and reducing the process losses and other wastage including consumables and energy.

g) Undertaking study of and proposing modifications in various process and formulations by carrying out experiments so as to achieve quality parameters in non-standard products.

h) Ensuring safety by training, increasing awareness, implementing good work practices providing good personal protective equipment and proposing modifications in work place. (Developing monitoring mechanism.)

i) Setting objectives for staff in consultation with Manager in line with organization objectives and providing necessary support for achievement of those objectives.

j) Taking active interest in personal counselling of employees, especially in specific problematic areas, training and development of subordinates.

k) Ensuring high service levels by increasing awareness about customer requirements among staff.

l) Coordinating closely with customers and marketing function in terms of collecting feed back of serviced products and in trouble shooting at customer end as and when required.

m) Corresponding with material function for arranging packing and raw material availability.

n) Touring the block for taking stock of production and resolving day to day problems with respect to quality, efficiency and machine breakdown.

o) Monitoring upkeep of shop floor with respect of house keeping and safety.

p) Batch slip checking for in-process checks, unrecommended materials entry grinding time losses and other ISO related points.

q) Monitoring waste generation, PPEs and other register on weekly basis.

r) Report writing (Monthly quarterly and Yearly).

s) Co-ordination with different department and function for various issues.

t) Maintaining the daily stock of Methanol and waste solvent generation.

u) Monitoring the progress of schedules batches on the shop floor and made necessary changes of the same as per priority.

v) Undertaking Process and Machine modification in co-ordination with concerned functions and departments.

w) Co-ordination with BSR for dispatches of specific requirements.

x) Soliciting feedback from chemists regarding workmen related issues and suitable action taken based on this.

y) Reviewing status of pipeline and production and deciding on suitable action to be taken thereof in terms of follow-up for rm, with tech Fn, etc.
