**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Student Assessment and Evaluation**:

- **Curriculum Development**:

- Contribute to the development and refinement of the English curriculum, integrating current literary trends and effective pedagogical practices.
- Incorporate diverse literary genres, including classic and contemporary works, to broaden students’ literary perspectives.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to address behavioral issues and foster a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
- **Student Support**:

- Provide additional support to students needing extra help with English language and literature, including individualized or small-group instruction as necessary.
- Offer guidance and support for students preparing for higher education or standardized tests related to English.
- **Collaboration**:

- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about students’ progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- **Professional Development**:

- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in English instruction and educational advancements.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and conferences to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and other relevant information.
- Prepare and submit reports on students' progress, instructional activities, and departmental initiatives as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field.
- State certification or licensure as a Post-Graduate Teacher (PGT) in English.
- Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level with a strong understanding of literature, language, and composition.
