BOLD is seeking for QA professionals who will work with Product Managers and Dev Teams to understand features and technical implementation, and ensure our sites, products, and platforms perform to industry-beating quality levels.

The person is expected to be result oriented, have good interpersonal skills, and should be able to work both independently and in a team environment. It is expected that the person must strive to raise the bar of QA practices and establish high quality test standards.

**ABOUT THIS TEAM**

The Platform Micro-Services Automation team is a dynamic and talented group of individuals who are dedicated to driving the automation of our platform's microservices. As a key part of our organization, this team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions that support the deployment, testing, and monitoring of our micro-services.

This team is made up of experienced engineers who have a passion for automation, and who are constantly seeking to improve the efficiency and reliability of our micro-service platform.

They work closely with other teams including Development, DevOps, QA, and product teams, to ensure that our platform remains secure, scalable, and easy to use.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Independently utilize innovative test methodologies to develop test plans/strategies for owned features.
- Create and enhance backend and frontend automation tests and test tools
- Work efficiently in a multi-project agile environment
- Add to performance, security and scalability testing efforts
- Write specialized testing tools for use in testing our software platform
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Excellent debugging skills, measures and analyses code for quality.
- Be able to understand the software internals, debug issues, and write automated tests with scripting and automation tools
- Be individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to end with mínimal assistance
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Interact with different teams to get understanding and dependencies within the system.
- Good in OOPS, scripting language, and solving programmatically.
- Automation tools/framework - Should be able to contribute to frameworks.
- Brings in the addition of tools and coding to execute QA tasks.
- Reduces the time of QA tasks considerably by automating most of the QA tasks
- Should maintain and review high-quality coding standards & provide technical mentorship.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**
- Hands on coding in any programming language is a must, Java is preferable.
- Good experience in white box testing, web automation, and microservice automation.
- Experience with one or more database technology
- Relational (like SQL server), graph and NoSQL
- Prior experience in platform based teams is preferable.
- 3+ years coding experience in Java, or C or other programming language.
- 3+ years test automation experience, developing/enhancing test harness/framework
- Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
- Experience with web service technology like XML, REST, SOAP
- Experience with open source test tools/frameworks like Postman, Fiddler, JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Karate
- Strong understanding of Testing concepts & standards.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology and good communication skills
- Experience with source code management tool
- Experience with CI/CD tools.
