Handball Coach

**Job Summary**:
The Handball Coach will be responsible for developing and coaching the school’s handball team, promoting the sport among students, and overseeing the overall management of handball activities. The coach will work closely with the Physical Education department to encourage students to engage in physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The role requires both coaching expertise and a passion for nurturing young athletes to reach their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Coaching & Training**:

- Design and implement handball training programs for students of different age groups.
- Teach fundamental and advanced handball techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Conduct regular practice sessions to improve the skills, fitness, and performance of the team.
- Prepare students for inter-school handball competitions and tournaments.
- **Team Management**:

- Select and build a competitive handball team based on skill assessments.
- Motivate and inspire players to achieve personal and team goals.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players.
- Monitor player progress and provide individual feedback and guidance.
- **Game Strategy & Tactics**:

- Develop match strategies, including offensive and defensive tactics.
- Analyze opposing teams and prepare the team for competitive matches.
- Ensure all players understand game rules, roles, and responsibilities during competitions.
- **Physical Fitness & Conditioning**:

- Promote overall physical fitness through warm-ups, conditioning drills, and recovery practices.
- Incorporate injury prevention techniques and ensure safe play during practice and games.
- **Coordination with School Management**:

- Collaborate with the Physical Education department to integrate handball into the school’s sporting activities.
- Organize and oversee internal school tournaments, competitions, and friendly matches.
- Provide regular reports to the school management regarding the team’s performance and development.
- **Skill Development & Personal Growth**:

- Foster an environment that encourages the development of leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Encourage students to develop their physical, mental, and emotional resilience through the sport.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, team performances, and player progress.
- Assist in organizing sports events and manage logistics for handball competitions.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
- Certification in handball coaching (preferred).
- Proven experience in coaching handball, particularly in a school or youth sports setting.
- Knowledge of handball rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Patience, leadership, and the ability to work with diverse student groups.
- Experience in organizing sports events or tournaments is a plus.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
