**AWS Solution Architect**

The AWS Solution Architect is responsible for Migrations. These responsibilities include working directly with our customers to guide them through the details of Cloud transformation and migration of critical business workloads, accelerating the customers cloud migration journey.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Work with our strategic customers, you will help the customer assess their readiness for Cloud adoption and advise and guide the customer in developing a strategic plan to transform IT processes and organization to support their Cloud adoption
- Focus on understanding customer business drivers as well as the compelling event/s driving their cloud adoption at the onset of a large migration engagement
- Work with the AWS team and customer to help develop a comprehensive migration plan, lowering risk and cost while accelerating adoption
- Gain hands-on technical credibility with internal as well as customer technical leaders
- Create documentation on migration best practices.

**Education**
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science from an accredited college or university, preferred- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience in the same or closely related field/occupation, may be counted towards 1 year of education

**Experience**
- Customarily has at least 7 years of experience in a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Architect role leading the discovery, design, and construction of large-scale Enterprise Migration solutions
- Customarily has at least 7 years of experience in systems engineering, implementation, or consulting experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience
- Customarily has at least 2 years of experience planning and executing large scale IT and business transformations to the cloud
- Customarily has at least 2 years of experience architecting, designing, migrating workloads to the public cloud
- Demonstrated experience in a range of migration discovery, profiling, migration automation, and operations technologies and tools
