Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to the developmental needs of elementary and primary students.
- Introduce students to various musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and music theory.
- Facilitate individual and group music activities, including singing, instrumental performance, and composition.
- Organize and conduct school music performances, concerts, and events.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity and confidence.
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their musical goals.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into the broader curriculum and school activities.
- Manage classroom resources and equipment effectively and ensure a safe learning environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant teaching certification or licensure for elementary and primary education.
- Proven experience teaching music to young students, preferably in an elementary or primary school setting.
- Strong proficiency in various musical instruments and vocal techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Ability to design and implement creative and age-appropriate music curriculum.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with music technology and digital tools for music education.
- Knowledge of diverse musical genres and cultures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
