Assistant Store Incharge

Job Summary: The Store Incharge in an Interior Furniture Manufacturing company is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the store, ensuring efficient inventory control, timely procurement of materials, accurate record-keeping, and a smooth flow of goods within the organization. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to maintain an optimal level of inventory while meeting production demands.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring real-time updates in the inventory management system.
Regularly conduct physical counts of stock to reconcile with system records.
Implement and manage an organized storage system to facilitate easy access and retrieval of materials.
Monitor stock levels and initiate procurement of materials to prevent stockouts while avoiding overstocking.

Procurement and Vendor Management:Collaborate with the procurement team to source and purchase materials required for furniture production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and establish strong relationships to secure favorable terms and discounts.
Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.

Store Operations:Supervise and coordinate daily store operations, including receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials.
Ensure that all goods received are checked for quality and quantity, and any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and guidelines within the store area to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Documentation and Reporting:Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and consumption patterns to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to inventory, purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant records.

Team Management:Lead and manage a team of storekeepers, ensuring proper training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
Delegate tasks effectively, monitor work progress, and provide feedback to ensure smooth store operations.

Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to optimize inventory management and store operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (X+ years) in inventory management, storekeeping, or related roles within the furniture manufacturing or interior design industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
