**Job Title**: Research & Development (R&D) Officer
**Industry**: Plastic (Caps & Bottles)
**Location**: Mumbai

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Product Development & Innovation**:

- Design and develop new plastic packaging solutions, including caps and bottles, from concept to commercialization.
- Conduct feasibility studies and material selection to ensure optimal functionality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancements and innovations based on market trends and customer feedback.

**Quality Control & Compliance**:

- Ensure that all new product designs meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to monitor and maintain the quality of products in production.

**Testing & Prototyping**:

- Lead the development of prototypes and conduct tests to ensure the structural integrity, safety, and functionality of packaging solutions.
- Perform material testing (e.g., strength, flexibility, temperature resistance, etc.) to evaluate performance and durability.
- Work with the production team to scale prototypes into viable manufacturing processes.
- Ensure that all new product designs meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to monitor and maintain the quality of products in production.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in material science, manufacturing technologies, and plastic packaging trends.
- Participate in relevant industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

**Other Responsibilities**:Continuous Learning & Development, Process Improvement, Documentation & Reporting, Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination and Material Science & Sustainability.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 7-10 years+ of experience in R&D within the plastics, packaging, or related industry (preferably in caps and bottles production).
- Hands-on experience in product development, material testing, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with plastic processing technologies (injection molding, blow molding, etc.) and material testing techniques.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
