System Architect

**The Opportunity**:
As a member of R&D software development team, you will be responsible for architecture and aiding development teams in design, development, & predictable delivery of OAM cloud native products on-time every time with quality. You will have a direct hand in bringing these OAM products to the market and contributing to the success of Sandvine.

**The Job**:

- Responsible for Architecture of OAM services: Auto discovery, Provisioning & Deployment, Configuration, License management, User management & Audit, Alarms, Performance and Health monitoring, to support Tier-1 operator needs with 5 9’s availability
- Create and implement unified strategy for Sandvine products to demonstrate OAM services
- Responsible for technology roadmap for OAM[DM1]
- Responsible for OAM IP portfolio
- Ensure internal and external systems compatibility and seamless integration with well defined APIs
- Responsible for reviewing and accepting the product requirements
- Responsible for prototype of new OAM features
- Create and implement unified strategy for Sandvine products to adhere to security guidelines
- You will work as an integral member of a self-directed Agile development team employing a Scrum-based methodology to deliver predictably on-time every time with quality
- Continuous improvement is central to our purpose, you are encouraged to find new ways of doing things that will continuously improve daily work
- Stay ahead of public/private cloud technologies
- Stay engaged on security compliance and vulnerabilities

**What skills you bring**:

- BS/MS in Computer Science or Equivalent
- 12+ years of hands-on software development experience, out of which 3+ years in Architect/Technical team lead role
- 8+ years of experience on Java
- Hands on experience with any one of the cloud technologies is a must
- Hands on experience with Web stack and database technologies is a must
- Telco industry solution experience and/or architecting large scale systems is desired
- Security experience a plus
- Expertise in xml/json is a plus
- Expertise in python, javascript is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to deliver on commitments on-time all the time with quality
- Proactive & willing to take challenging technical initiatives that may be completely new
- Able to work independently as well as within a geographically distributed agile development team
- Ability to fix and quickly resolve problems
- Excellent listening skills and ability to influence a variety of cultures and personalities
- Able to work globally and across time zones and cultures
- Excellent Written and verbal communications skills are important
- Able to travel to customers and our global R&D centers
