Job Description

Oversee all legal and secretarial functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Provide strategic legal advice to management on various matters, including contracts, disputes, and corporate governance.Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.Ensure compliance with company law, securities law, and other applicable regulations.Act as the point of contact for all legal and secretarial matters with external stakeholders.Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations.Support the board of directors with secretarial duties, including meeting preparations and maintaining statutory records.Stay updated on legal developments in the property and public work sectors to guide the organisation effectively.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Legal and Secretarial should have:

A professional qualification in law (LLB or equivalent) and membership in a recognised company secretarial body.Proven expertise in handling legal and corporate secretarial responsibilities.Strong knowledge of corporate laws, property laws, and public work regulations.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide clear legal guidance.A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks.
