Job Description

Objective : To cater all the requirements of development and commercial procurement with respect to Packaging materials required for B2C / B2B Business.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Development and commercial Purchase of all the Packaging materials required for B2C / B2B Business

2. To coordinate closely with our Business team to understand the requirement of Packaging material as per Business needs.

3. Identifying the right MOC, shape, size and vendor for the Packaging materials required for Business.

4. Getting the robustness and compatibility of these Packaging materials confirmed through internal and external Labs.

5. Develop the specification of the final approved packaging material.

6. Maintaining the BOM and Cost Sheet for the finished goods wrt PM.

7. Vendor visits to audit and approve the vendors & to identify the gaps and improve the productivity and optimize the cost.

8. Understanding the areas of concern from the Business team wrt Packaging material and trouble shooting the same with proper CAPA.

9. Identifying the vendors for the final approved packaging material such that we have atleast 3 sources ready for supplies at any given point of time.

10. To float inquiries and get the quotation for the required packaging material.

11. Quotation comparative statement (QCS) to be prepared for the various offers taken.

12. Preparing the Purchase orders and closely following up with the vendors.

13. Getting Specification agreements done with the vendors and addressing requirements of VMI.

14. To track vendor performance for supplies based on the OTIF parameters.

15. Identify the tollers available in the market wrt their Production capacity, Quality system & troubleshooting quality concerns, Financial credentials, Manpower, etc.

16. Develop these tollers to effectively handle our Packaging requirements.

17. Ensuring compliance wrt EPR obligations/regulations.

18. Understanding of Legal Metrological requirements and coordinating with external agencies for the same.

19. Preparing Weekly Stautus update for the leadership.

20. Exploring innovating ways to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

21. Handling Audit related requirement.

22. Co-ordinating 3rd party supplies and required assets management.

23. Be a Packaging Technology interface for the organization
