Job Description Job Description Perform a variety of activities involving the audit of coding of medical records by ascribing accurate diagnosis and CPT codes as per ICD-10 and CPT-4 systems of coding Perform Coding and auditing for Outpatient and/or Inpatient records with a minimum of 96% accuracy and as per turnaround time requirements Exceeds the productivity standards for Medical Coding – as per the productivity norms for inpatient and/or specialty specific outpatient coding standards Maintains high degree of professional and ethical standards Complete received Audits with Quality To achieve Quality and production target Update all the logs like productivity, Clarification log, and any other logs applicable on a daily basis. Focuses on continuous improvement by working on projects that enables customers to arrest revenue leakage while being in compliance with the standards Focuses on updating coding skills and knowledge by participating in coding team meetings and educational conferences Job Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the following qualification criteria: 2 – 4 years of experience in Medical Coding Applicant must have Active CPC- AAPC/CCS- AHIMA. Additional credential of CIC will be an added advantage Extensive knowledge on IP-DRG coding Good communication skills and reporting skills CPC or ICD 10 certification Mandatory Good knowledge of medical coding and billing systems, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts, and principles
