Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Planning Engineer to join our client's project management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and monitoring project schedules, identifying potential delays, and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects. The role requires proficiency in planning tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project, and a solid understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction workflows.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive project schedules and timelines using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align project milestones.

Monitor project progress, analyse deviations, and recommend corrective actions.

Prepare look-ahead schedules and progress reports (daily, weekly, and monthly).

Conduct critical path analysis and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Support delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) claims, and resource loading.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure planning accuracy and schedule compliance.

Maintain proper documentation of schedules, updates, and revision logs.

Participate in project review meetings and client presentations.

Forecast manpower, equipment, and material requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.

Certification in project planning tools (, Primavera P6) is preferred.

PMP certification is an added advantage.

Skills Required:

Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel (advanced level).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

In-depth knowledge of project lifecycle, WBS, and planning methodologies.

Good understanding of contract terms, BOQs, and construction drawings.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and progress measurement systems.
