You may know us as Niva Bupa in India, but globally Bupa has over 80,000 employees, 50m customers and an ambition to reach 100m customers by 2027.Job DescriptionEnsure BUPA testing standards and processes has been followed throughout the delivery of the projectAdvocate and implement approved quality testing practices, demonstrate that the software application meets the Business & Functional requirements and is fit for purposeWorked closely with Project and teams to define, execute, document, and maintain project deliverables, as per Bupa testing standards and processes.Lead the multiple projects, QA testers and test analysts, manage end to end testing delivery.Implements and executes automation first strategy.Ensure quality across phases like SIT, UAT and Regression.Initiate UAT kick-off meetings, and manage UAT progress and acquires UAT signoff from stakeholdersProvide input to the Test Manager on the estimation of various testing activitiesLiaise with Business Analysts, Developers, and SMEs to understand the requirements / user stories and identify gaps very early on in the Software Development Lifecycle, and thus, adding valueThe Successful ApplicantQualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.Familiarity with QA methodologies and tools (, Selenium, Azure DevOps, JIRA).Experience with testing tools and scripting and automation languages (, SQL, VBScript, JavaScript, Python, Java).Knowledge of regulatory standards (, ISO, HACCP).Strong documentation and communication skills.Experience in various testing types such as functional, UI, API, and database testing.Experience working in large-scale and complex environments (nice to have).ISTQB certification is a plus.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Possess over 4 years of QA or software testing experience, and leading medium to large scale projects Requirements:Proven experience in leading and mentoring global QA teams, including offshore and outsourced resources.Strong background in driving test strategy, planning, and execution across complex, large-scale environments.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across different time zones (onsite/offshore).Hands-on involvement in all testing phases: System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing (RT).Ability to influence quality practices, promote automation adoption, and ensure alignment with business goals.Able to work independently with the least supervision, but always a team playerWork collaboratively within a cross-functional teamStrong aptitude for learning new technologiesAttention to detailGood understanding of testing methodologies and testing processesUnderstand software development life cycle and various testing techniques including proficiency in systems testingExcellent documentation and communication skillsFamiliar with testing tools and defects management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps or HPAbility to work off-business hours as needed Preferences, Training and Experiences:Experience in medical, health, or life insuranceExperience in test data managementIntermediate to Expert SQL knowledge, with the ability to write and execute SQL queries for database verification across different tablesCantonese speaker preferred but not required. Excellent English is required if candidate is not a Chinese speakerBackground in business analysisExperience in testing API's (REST, SOAP, or application propriety API's)ISTQB / QAI certificationsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and within diverse teams.Comfortable in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
