Job Summary:

We are seeking an innovative and analytical R&D Engineer to join our client's product development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, designing, testing, and implementing new products or enhancements to existing products. This role requires strong technical aptitude, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into market-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research to identify new technologies, materials, and methodologies that can improve product performance and cost-effectiveness.

Design and develop prototypes and conduct performance evaluations, reliability testing, and failure analysis.

Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability of new concepts.

Analyse market trends and user feedback to inform product development strategies.

Create technical documentation, design reports, test plans, and validation protocols.

Support the transition of new products from development to production, including pilot builds and initial manufacturing runs.

Ensure all R&D activities comply with regulatory standards, safety requirements, and company quality systems.

Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and innovation workshops to promote continuous improvement.

Maintain project timelines and deliverables to meet product development schedules.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, or related field.

Proven experience in R&D or product development, preferably in [insert industry – , automotive, consumer electronics, medical devices].

Hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).

Familiarity with FMEA, DOE, root cause analysis, and validation protocols.

Key Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of product design and development lifecycle.

Proficiency in data analysis, testing tools, and simulation software.

Ability to think creatively and analytically to solve complex engineering problems.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Team-oriented with the ability to work independently on complex projects.

Adaptability to rapidly changing project requirements and priorities.

Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry-specific compliance standards.
