Role Overview:

Our client, a well-regarded tier 2 law firm, is looking to hire a Senior Associate for its Banking & Finance practice in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex financing transactions, including syndicated lending, structured finance, external commercial borrowings (ECBs), and project or acquisition financing.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security documents, term sheets, and other financing-related contracts.

Advise banks, financial institutions, and corporate borrowers on lending transactions.

Conduct due diligence and prepare detailed reports and risk summaries.

Manage timelines, deal execution, and communication across stakeholders.

Supervise and mentor junior team members and assist in quality control.

Work closely with partners on transaction strategy, structuring, and regulatory matters.

Key Requirements:

LL.B. (or equivalent) from a reputed institution.

4 to 6 years of post-qualification experience in Banking & Finance law, preferably with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 law firm.

Hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating finance documents.

Strong client management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle transactions independently and manage deal execution end-to-end.

Knowledge of RBI regulations, ECB guidelines, and security enforcement laws is a plus.
