Job Description

Develop and mature the automation strategy on product centric delivery using best practice and techniquesTake full responsibility for the planning and management of quality engineering activities within complex IT Programmes, product centric delivery teams, combining effort with IT staff and users and evaluating risk potential based on the results of the testing during all stages of development in line with the approved lifecycles and the Quality Gate process.Deliver project documentation at implementation including Master Test Strategy, Test Completion Reports in line with the Testing Practice template setMonitor and control the testing effort and records and publish testing metrics required to manage the testing activitiesManage all third party testing personnel from preferred vendorsCreation, review and execution of Test Scripts in approved test toolsTrack, review and conclude defects in approved test tools responsible for sign off of allocated test tasksTest left and Automation across development teamsOperate as a specialist and consultant on all aspects of Quality Engineering and give advice to both users and IT management to determine the most appropriate testing and Quality strategies for projectsTake a leading role in the definition of strategies to ensure the most effective and efficient testing is carried out, including the use of specialised testing tools and techniques. Help to set priorities that balance desirable against practical testing strategiesMaintain good knowledge of, advise on and justify testing processes. Advise on, define and justify internal and external standards, methods and procedures for general testing applicability. Advise on internal test programmes

The Successful Applicant

Candidate must be well versed in API/Microservice led testing strategyCandidate must have strong testing experience demonstrating complex IT systemsCandidate must have strong SQL / Oracle skillsExperience in Automation tools both Open source and Market toolsExposure to source control tools such as Teamcity/GIT/BitbucketExperience of implementing automation into projectsCustomer focused, product centric delivery focusExperience of 5-10 yearsRelevant experience should not be less than 2 yearsExperience in Playwright using TYPESCRIPT/JAVASCRIPTExperience in Low Code No Code tools setMaster on managing all aspects of testing (Integration, system, end to end and regression. Non-Functional testing)Corporate, Industry and Professional Testing and IT Standards (ISTQB / ISEB Foundation - minimum)Testing principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of the testing process and the execution of tests throughout the lifecycle of development projectsTeam leadership of Quality engineers
