Known for its ambitious growth plans and high-level stakeholder engagement, the group is now expanding its policy and external affairs capabilities to strengthen its institutional relationships and regulatory alignment.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities(Outlined by Michael Page based on discussions with the client and our understanding of the role)Lead the organisation's engagement with central and state government bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.Shape and implement public policy strategy aligned with the business interests of the group.Track and analyse relevant policy developments, provide strategic advice to leadership, and ensure regulatory compliance across operations.Build and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders including bureaucrats, policymakers, and industry influencers.Represent the organisation in forums, consultations, and advocacy platforms to position it as a credible voice in the sector.Work cross-functionally with internal teams (legal, ESG, operations, strategy) to integrate policy inputs into business decisions.Provide leadership in navigating complex regulatory scenarios and potential policy risks.The Successful ApplicantSenior leader with deep expertise in public policy, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. Ideal candidates may include ex-IAS/IFS/IPS officers or senior professionals from industry bodies, think tanks, or corporate with strong government interface experience.Key Attributes:20+ years of experience in public affairs or regulatory strategyStrong network across government and regulatory bodiesStrategic thinker with high integrity and leadership presence
