Job Title: Cost Controller – GM / AGM Level

Location: Pune / Binola

Industry: Automotive / Automobile Manufacturing

Reports To: CFO / Head of Finance

Qualification: CMA (Mandatory)

Experience: 12–18 years (preferably in automotive or auto components industry)

Job Summary:

We are Looking a highly experienced and strategic Cost Controller at GM/AGM level to lead cost management, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives across plants in Pune and Binola. The ideal candidate must be a Qualified CMA with a strong background in the automotive industry, having worked extensively in costing, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage plant costing operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of product costing and cost allocation. Prepare and review monthly/quarterly/annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans in coordination with plant heads and senior management. Drive cost optimization initiatives and analyze variances between actual and standard costs, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Conduct regular margin analysis, make vs. buy decisions, and capacity utilization studies. Partner with production, procurement, and operations teams to monitor cost drivers and implement cost control strategies. Manage inventory valuation, WIP, overhead absorption, and product costing standards. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls. Prepare periodic reports for management, highlighting key trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities. Support financial audits, internal audits, and participate in cross-functional cost improvement projects.

Desired Candidate Profile:

CMA qualified with 12–18 years of relevant experience in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting. Must have experience working in automobile/automotive/auto component manufacturing companies. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Excel/Power BI. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to travel between Pune and Binola locations as per business needs.
