job title: sr. manager production pharmaceutical manufacturinglocation: dombivlidepartment: production / manufacturingreports to: directorexperience: 815 yearsemployment type: full-timejob summary:the production manager oversees pharmaceutical products' manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements, quality standards, and production targets. this role involves managing production schedules, optimising efficiency, ensuring gmp compliance, and leading a team of production staff.key responsibilities:plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to meet targets.ensure compliance with gmp (good manufacturing practices), gdp (good documentation practices), and other regulatory guidelines (usfda, mhra, who, etc.).supervise manufacturing operations such as tablet, capsule, injectable, ointment, or api production (as applicable).prepare and execute production schedules in coordination with planning and qa/qc departments.monitor equipment and machinery performance; coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective actions.maintain documentation such as bmrs (batch manufacturing records), sops, deviation reports, change controls, and capas.conduct internal audits and support external regulatory inspections.ensure proper training and development of production team members.implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.monitor and control the inventory of raw materials and packing materials.ensure workplace safety and compliance with ehs (environment, health, and safety) standards.key skills and competencies:strong knowledge of gmp, regulatory standards, and pharma manufacturing processesleadership and team managementproblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesexcellent communication and interpersonal skillsproficiency in using erp systems and ms office toolsattention to detail and quality focuseducational qualifications:m / m / / / in chemical engineeringadditional certifications in gmp, lean six sigma, or regulatory compliance are an advantage.
