Roles and Responsibilities Job Account abilities 1. Execute Orders & Coordinate Expediting a. Prepare and release Request for Quote for the items on receipt of Purchase Requisition from site / user team. b. Study offers from vendors, matching and validation the correctness of technical requirement given by use and technical speciation given by vendor, and prepare a comparative statement to aid in selection of vendors, optimization of price and other commercial terms c. Coordinate with user in cases of detail Technical Bid Evaluation required for any items. d. Participate in commercial negotiation with vendors. e. Negotiate & finalize price for items covered under this role’s limits f. Assist to Buying Manager for finalizing the deal with the vendor in case the deal is above a certain amount/close the deal with vendor in case the value is below a certain amount. g. Ordering of the finalized items and making the appropriate entries in SAP system h. Maintain co-ordination with vendor to expedite material delivery i. Coordinate with store team & QMD to resolve any critical issue / rejection matters. j. Coordinate with FC&A to ensure timely payment for all critical areas. 2. Manage Supplier Relationships at working Level a. Manage positive vendor relationships at the working level b. Engage with vendors on a regular basis to share organizational requirements and understand their constraints c. Gather feedback from field execution team and supplier d. Review the feedback and send reports to Project Category Manager as well as the respective Contracts Lead e. Ensure supplier performance as per end-user needs and identify improvements and suggest the same to Buying Manager f. Uphold ethical values in procurement dealings and operations in line with the corporate values 3. Use technology extensively to increase efficiency & control costs a. Use the SAP system optimally to drive efficiency and cost optimization b. Focus on usage of technological tools like e–auction and reverse auction to improve efficiency, and improve transparency
