Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Rebar Estimation Checker to join our team in Trichy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and verifying rebar estimates prepared by the estimation team to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and alignment with project requirements. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of project cost estimations, preventing errors, and ensuring smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and review rebar estimates prepared by the estimation team.

Verify accuracy in quantities, dimensions, and specifications of estimates.

Cross-check estimates against project plans, construction drawings, and technical specifications.

Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and client-specific requirements.

Identify and address discrepancies between project documentation and estimates.

Highlight errors, inconsistencies, or potential risks in estimates and recommend corrective actions.

Provide structured feedback and guidance to the estimation team to improve quality and accuracy.

Prepare and maintain detailed reports of findings, observations, and corrective recommendations.

Maintain organized records of reviewed estimates, drawings, and supporting documents.

Collaborate with the estimation team and project managers to resolve ambiguities and clarify requirements.

Suggest process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency of estimation workflows.

Stay updated on industry standards, rebar codes, tools, and technologies relevant to rebar estimation.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience: Minimum of 5–6 years in rebar estimation and checking.

Strong exposure to rebar detailing principles, bar bending schedules (BBS), and construction methodologies.

Familiarity with rebar estimation software/tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills Required

Excellent ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction specifications, and technical documents.

In-depth knowledge of US rebar standards, detailing practices, and construction codes.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying errors and discrepancies.

Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and quality.

Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to process improvements.
