Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Deputy Manager/Manager (Production) to oversee and optimize production operations in our engineering manufacturing setup. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to manage resources effectively to achieve production targets, maintain quality, and ensure continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

Plan, organize, and oversee production processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Optimize available manpower to maximize productivity without reliance on overtime or additional costs.

Implement cost-saving initiatives through process improvements, cross-training, and automation.

Collaborate with the Planning department to establish production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.

Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and maximize output while minimizing costs.

Ensure adherence to predefined quality standards, proactively reducing defects and errors.

Diagnose issues in production lines, equipment, or processes and implement effective solutions.

Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe workplace culture.

Collaborate with Design, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to enhance products and processes.

Provide training and guidance to production teams on new machinery, tools, and products.

Monitor industry developments and introduce advanced manufacturing technologies and methods.

Prepare and present reports on production performance, highlighting progress, challenges, and improvement areas.

Required Qualifications

in Mechanical / Production Engineering.

10–15 years of progressive experience in production functions within a manufacturing setup (preferably in electromechanical/engineering industries).

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of ERP systems for production planning and monitoring.

Proven leadership with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.

Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar productivity improvement methods.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.

Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within strict deadlines.
