Design features and projects that are the building blocks to our applicationHelp drive and build a practical, consistent, and beautiful user interfaceLead discussions to gather requirements from internal and external stakeholdersWork closely with small functional squads from many facets of data science, engineering, product, and business to find elegant but practical solutions to design problemsBe independent and have full ownership of your work as well as the responsibility for it at each step in the processUtilize solution-focused problem solving to think big picture, create many lo-fi solutions to one problem, observe their performance, iterate and distill on their results to find the best solutionEmbrace failure and continuously validate your designs in the real world

The Ideal Candidate

You are a great designer with a pragmatic attitude towards designYou understand that design is not simply a beautiful aestheticYou are comfortable with complex problemsYou've created and shipped numerous consumer productsYou understand what makes a great user experience and its relationship with great usability and interface designYou have absolute attention to detail for pixel-perfect designYou have the communication skills to help build frameworks and brainstorm initial conceptsYou have the ability to mentor others to deliver work and make strategy come to lifeEven though you are a great designer, you are constantly looking to improve designs through user feedbackYou have experience with user testing and you're comfortable with applying results to your designsYou have an updated portfolio that you can share with usYou are able to provide a brief explanation in your application of why you are excellent for this role while highlighting your portfolio

Experience

1-4 years working as a professional UI/UX designer or equivalentExperience in Angular FrameworkExperience visualizing dataFamiliar with implementation practices and standards for your designs (HTML, CSS, JS)The ability to build/code your designs is a big plusExperience with data science & machine learning is a big plus
