JOB DETAILS
The Production Controller will oversee the production processes within the jewellery manufacturing unit. This role ensures that all production operations run smoothly, efficiently, and within the defined budget and timeline, while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in jewellery manufacturing, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the jewellery production cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to ensure materials and resources are available for production.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery deadlines.
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, gemstones, and other components.
Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and avoid production delays.
Monitor production costs and take measures to control expenses.
Analyse and implement strategies to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Supervise and guide production staff, ensuring that they meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Provide training and support to production team members to enhance skills and improve overall performance.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure smooth production operations.
Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all machinery used in the production process.
Implement new technologies and automation to improve production speed and quality.
