Life Science Consultant, Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Project Manager

Position: Life Science Consultant, Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Project Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Project Manager to lead a User Access Management (UAM) transformation program for a global organization. This role will be part of the Information Security & Risk Management (ISRM) team, focusing on access governance, compliance, and security enhancements across multiple applications and vendor portals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IAM Strategy & Standardization
  • Identify common user access management patterns and develop a unified IAM framework aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to implement the best practices.
  • Business & Technical Architecture Development
  • Design IAM processes and security frameworks for Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), ServiceNow, and Business Orchestration tools.
  • Capture business requirements and develop enhancement plans for IAM systems.
  • IAM System Enhancements & Integration
  • Enhance existing IAM platforms with new capabilities for seamless integration with key business systems.
  • Support business role models, workflows, and user access management automation.
  • Portal & Single-Sign-On (SSO) Implementation
  • Develop a landing page for non-521 site users with SSO capabilities for seamless navigation across portals.
  • User Access Controls & Compliance
  • Define and implement policy/attribute-based access controls for applications and Vendor Portals.
  • Ensure IAM processes meet regulatory compliance standards.
  • Training & Onboarding
  • Define and implement a Unified Training Assignment Matrix for all user roles, ensuring job qualification completion before access is assigned.
  • Create and update technical and business training materials and conduct training sessions.
  • Performance Metrics & Governance
  • Define Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) to measure IAM program success.
  • Aligning with Business Management on Systems of Record for IAM-related data governance.



Required Skills & Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in Identity Access Management (IAM) and Project Management.
  • Proven experience in IAM governance, role-based access control (RBAC), and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST CSF, etc.).
  • Strong background in IAM architecture, integration, and enhancement projects.
  • Experience with SSO, IGA, ServiceNow, and Business Orchestration tools.
  • Hands-on expertise in user access governance for enterprise applications & vendor portals.
  • Ability to define IAM policies, implement access control mechanisms, and manage security risks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IAM tools such as SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and Zero Trust architecture.
  • Prior experience in training IAM users and developing governance frameworks.
