Blood bank technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Blood Bank Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing all tasks related to blood banking, including blood collection, testing, processing, and storage. The candidate should be knowledgeable of the latest blood banking techniques, equipment, and regulations.

• Perform blood collection, testing, and processing procedures
• Ensure accurate labeling, storage, and delivery of blood products
• Maintain inventory of blood products and supplies
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and safety of blood products
• Provide support to medical staff during transfusions and emergency situations
• Perform maintenance and calibration of blood bank equipment
• Keep up-to-date with current blood banking techniques and regulations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
• 2-12 years of experience in blood banking
• Knowledge of blood collection, testing, and processing procedures
• Experience with blood bank equipment and quality control procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical dexterity and visual acuity
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
