Job Description: Senior Software Engineer (VLSI)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with specialized expertise in VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) and strong skills in digital design and verification methodologies. This role requires a deep understanding of digital design fundamentals, along with hands-on experience in Verilog and system Verilog for efficient verification. The ideal candidate should possess excellent debug skills and be proficient in developing testbenches using the UVM (Universal Verification Methodology).

Responsibilities:

Design and develop digital circuits and systems using Verilog and system Verilog.

Implement and maintain UVM-based testbenches for thorough verification of designs.

Debug and resolve issues in digital designs and verification environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, architecture, and verification teams.

Contribute to the improvement of verification methodologies and processes.

Requirements:

Digital Design Fundamentals: Solid understanding and experience in digital design principles.

Verification Skills: Proficiency in Verilog and system Verilog, with a proven track record in verification.

UVM Methodology: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in coding UVM-based testbenches.

Debugging Skills: Ability to debug complex issues in digital designs and verification environments.

Protocol Knowledge: Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) is a plus.

Arm-based SOC: Exposure to Arm-based System on Chip (SOC) designs preferred.

Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, Make, and shell scripting for automation and tool integration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience in the semiconductor industry with a focus on VLSI design and verification.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.

Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.

Additional Experience (6-11 years):

Hands-on Experience: 6-11 years of hands-on experience in digital design and verification.

Project Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in designing and verifying complex digital systems.

Tool Familiarity: Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools for design and verification.

Methodology Expertise: Expertise in applying advanced verification methodologies, including UVM.

Project Execution: Track record of successfully delivering projects on schedule and meeting quality standards.

Innovation: Experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement in verification processes.
