Responsibilities

1 API Design Design and architect RESTful APIs to meet business requirements ensuring scalability flexibility and adherence to best practices and industry standards

2 Development Develop and implement backend services and APIs using Java and the Spring Boot framework implementing business logic data access layers and security mechanisms

3 Database Integration Integrate APIs with relational or NoSQL databases using Spring Data JPA Hibernate or other data access frameworks ensuring efficient data retrieval and manipulation

4 Authentication and Authorization Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using Spring Security OAuth or JWT tokens to secure APIs and protect sensitive data

5 Documentation Create clear and comprehensive API documentation using tools like Swagger or OpenAPI including endpoints request response formats authentication methods and error handling

6 Testing Conduct unit testing integration testing and end to end testing of APIs using frameworks like JUnit Mockito and Postman ensuring reliability performance and compliance with specifications

7 Monitoring and Logging Implement logging and monitoring solutions using tools like Log4j ELK stack or Prometheus Grafana to track API usage identify performance bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues

8 Deployment Deploy APIs to cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform and implement CI CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI CD to automate the build test and deployment process

9 Performance Optimization Optimize API performance by implementing caching load balancing and other performance tuning techniques and identify and address performance bottlenecks using profiling and monitoring tools

10 Collaboration Collaborate with frontend developers QA engineers and other stakeholders to understand requirements define API contracts and ensure seamless integration and functionality across systems and applications
