Job description- The is a full-time work from office role. The ideal candidate is expected to work onsite from our Indore office, Mondays to Saturdays, 10 am-7:30 pm. Introduction- We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Officer with expertise in international cross-currency accounting and service accounting. The ideal candidate will manage complex financial transactions across multiple currencies, oversee financial reporting, and ensure accurate accounting and book-keeping and analysis for service-based revenue. This role requires a deep understanding of global financial regulations, currency conversion processes, and best practices in service industry accounting, along with an added ability to work with utmost precision. Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliation of accounts. Prepare and process invoices, manage payments, and ensure timely collection of receivables. Service Accounting: Oversee accounting for service-based revenue, including tracking project expenses, billable hours, and service delivery costs. Implement best practices for revenue recognition and expense matching for service contracts. Prepare detailed financial statements and reports specific to service offerings. Cross-Currency Transactions: Manage and record financial transactions involving multiple currencies. Handle currency conversion, foreign exchange (FX) gains/losses, and maintain updated exchange rates. Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts impacted by currency fluctuations. Invoicing & Payments: Prepare and process invoices, manage payments, and ensure timely collection of receivables. Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate on budget preparation, monitor financial performance, and analyze variances in domestic & international projects. Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest improvements to financial processes. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with international financial regulations and local tax requirements. Prepare and submit financial reports, including variance analysis and financial forecasting. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Taxation & Audit Support: Assist in preparing tax returns and managing documentation for multiple jurisdictions. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial data and reports. Expense Management: Monitor and control company expenses, ensuring they are within budget. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and sales, to support financial planning and decision-making for international service projects. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on international cross-currency transactions and service accounting. Experience with managing complex financial transactions in multiple currencies. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Tally, Zoho) with a strong understanding of multi-currency modules. Strong analytical skills for financial forecasting and variance analysis. Expertise in handling foreign exchange transactions and managing FX gains/losses. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines. Effective communication skills for coordinating with international teams and stakeholders. Certifications (Preferred): CPA, ACCA, or other relevant certifications in accounting or finance.
