You will be responsible for architecting, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale time-series databases that power our analytics pipelines.Your day-to-day will include designing efficient schemas, improving query performance, implementing continuous aggregates and materialized views, and ensuring our systems are fast, scalable, and reliable. You will collaborate closely with the data engineering and backend teams to ensure smooth data flow from ingestion to analytics.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain high-performance Timescale DB schemas optimized for time-series workloads.Implement materialized views, continuous aggregates, and UML-driven database design.Conduct normalization, indexing, and compression to optimize storage and performance.Profile and optimize slow queries, background jobs, and large joins.Ensure database integrity, consistency, and security across environments.Collaborate with developers to integrate database logic into backend services.Develop and maintain database documentation, UML diagrams, and performance monitoring dashboards.QualificationsSkills in Database Administration and managing DatabasesProficiency in Database Design and Data ModelingStrong Analytical SkillsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesStrong understanding of Timescale DB and time-series dataAbility to work independently and remotelyBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldExperience working in blockchain and cryptocurrency industries, or knowledge of Web3, Trading and Hyperliquid is a plus.
