BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
Lead HVAC Design Engineer - Data Center ( 12-20 Yrs )
SME HVAC Design - Data Center ( 20-25 Yrs )
a) The Design Engineer is assigned to a project as a key member of the HVAC design team who will be doing engineering activities to carry out HVAC design work based on standard company procedure / other procedures.
b) He is also responsible for ensuring that the Group’s technical policies, are followed, considering any special contractual requirements.
c) Timely completion of design and engineering deliverables with proper resource planning.
d) Job responsibilities include Heat load calculation in excel, HAP and Trace, TCO, HVAC Room Book (Summary of Heat load & Design parameters ), Reheating capacities, Calculations of Exfiltration and Infiltration air, DG area ventilation calculation, HSD calculation, Generation and distribution side chilled water schematic/P&ID , Smoke and pressurization schematic, PUE calculation, Preparation of Air Flow Diagrams, Duct, and piping pressure drop calculations and Ducting Quantity, Pump Head calculation, Sequence of operation of high side and low side equipment and system, Control philosophy for high side and low side, CFD report analysis, Transient study analysis.
e) Should have strong knowledge on high side technology.
f) Preparation and Checking of BMS logic Diagrams, Creating P&ID, and AF&ID sheets.
g) Leading Inter discipline coordination & Client Meetings and preparation of meeting notes.
h) Maintaining Hold List / Comments Logs & CRS / Assumption List time to time for each project.
i) Should have very strong communication skills.
j) Develop working relationships across various disciplines & adherence to Dept. /Discipline Working Instructions and Quality Systems.
k) Working within company budgets.
l) Monitor & check, that the work and progress is in-compliance with the project requirements and schedule.
m) Client relationship management. Meet client expectations and maintain long-term relationship with client. Attend to client’s feedback and any complaints.
n) Preparation of Audit Documents as per comply company SOP.
B. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering Discipline with minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC designing field for Data center project. Candidate should possess knowledge in carrying out basic and detailed engineering work. Candidate should have technical & working knowledge of HVAC designing for Data center , projects.
Candidate should have basic knowledge of following would be :
a) Conceptualization, preparation of various options meeting minimum the Tier-III plus standard and complying of ASHRAE, latest TIA 942 etc
b) Techno commercial evaluation of various options and recommending / finalizing the option to be adopted for the project.
c) Technology selection for HVAC system consider site.
d) Preparation of TCO for high side and low side equipment
e) CFD analysis for internal and external
f) Preparation of Design Basis Report & Room Book
g) Preparation of Heat load calculations using software like HAPs
h) PUE calculation as per BS ISO IES 30134
i) Preparation of Air flow diagram, Chilled water schematic diagram for generation and distribution
j) Selection of equipment like FWU, PAHU/CRAC units / AHUs, Dehumidifier
k) Preparation of HVAC equipment list including electrical load requirements
l) Preparation of Data sheets / Specifications/SOO & Material Requisition for the various HVAC equipment including BMS
