Algonomy products are used by marketers, digital optimization or personalization managers, and front-end and back-end developers. In this role you will focus on the experience of a marketer - making complex products into something intuitive and easy to use for marketers.

Algonomy is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX designers, front and back-end engineers, technical writers, and product management. As a member of the UX team you will collaborate closely with each of the teams to create industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them.

With this role, you will also be expected to work with our client’s to gain an understanding of user personas and tasks as part of the design process, and to review new designs and gain feedback from those users.

Minimum qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent practical experience

Experience in all phases of the design process including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing

5 years of industry experience in roles centered around UI and UX design

Experience designing products around customer workflows

Proven ability to identify areas for innovation and differentiation through design

Experience interacting with cross-functional teams to drive to a UX design

Experience designing across multiple platforms

Portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions

Preferred qualifications :

5 years of experience designing software products for use by marketers

Specific experience designing marketer interfaces for marketing campaign, personalization, or A/B testing software

Experience creating design systems and style guides that work across multiple platforms

Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features

Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy

Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for web applications

Responsibilities:

Apply Human-Centered Design principles throughout problem-solving and solution development stages.

Follow established design processes, adapting or developing new methods as project needs evolve.

Use Systems Thinking to understand complex interrelationships within organizations, moving beyond traditional Design Thinking.

Utilize critical thinking, diverse design methodologies, and creative problem-solving to address changing requirements.

Quickly understand core business needs, make strategic compromises, and prioritize content and data based on user needs and technical constraints.

Present design solutions effectively to senior team members and internal stakeholders, explaining key decisions and user flows, and emphasizing value propositions, business solutions, and user experience improvements.

Leverage both quantitative and qualitative insights to support continuous improvement through data-driven approaches.

Communicate design alternatives, rationale, and trade-offs to stakeholders clearly.

Craft compelling stories that illustrate user value and impact beyond simple screen tours.

Collaborate with product and design partners, influencing leadership to adopt user-centered approaches in strategies, roadmaps, and planning.

Visualize experience concepts by creating wireframes, design mockups, journey maps, process flows, and prototypes.

Analyze user needs and gather requirements across multiple product experiences to identify dependencies and develop a unified experience solution.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and design leadership to help define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Partner with design representatives from various business lines to develop experience strategies that evolve into final solutions.

Build strong relationships and work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, UX Research, Product Management, and Engineering.

Present and explain proposed solutions, articulating the design rationale to key stakeholders.

Use insights from design research and user testing to refine and validate overall experience direction.

Document UI specifications and patterns that outline rules and guidelines for delivered experiences, with adjustments as needed.

Work closely with cross-functional teams of Product Managers, Engineers, Test Engineers, Designers, and Researchers in an agile environment.

Create high-quality UX artifacts to support comprehensive design solutions, ensuring effective implementation and adoption by users.

Lead and facilitate team activities such as design sprints, ideation sessions, and product discovery workshops.

Manage and prioritize multiple products with varying timelines, complexities, and scopes.

Strongly believe that a design or solution is only “done” when it is implemented as intended, experienced by customers, and validated through their feedback.
