Shark Ninja is expanding our APAC business and scaling it rapidly. Our two brands, Shark, and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 5 years, driven mainly by the very strong innovation pipeline on both brands. Given this success in our existing markets, Shark Ninja has embarked on a bold plan for growing APAC business, in which APAC plays a critical role.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a FP&A Manager to join our team. This role will be based in Bangalore, India.
Position Overview:
The India FP&A Manager / Senior Manager will be responsible for the India P&L and Cash Flow, working with local, regional and corporate finance leadership, alongside cross-functional departments in the business. The primary responsibilities will include supporting the SharkNinja India sales, marketing, and operations organization, on all aspects of the P&L and Cash Flow including in-depth margin & go-to market analysis, monthly accounting close process, and forecast & budgeting. Reporting to the Head of India and functionally to the Regional VP Finance, this position is part of a dynamic team that works in a fast-paced environment, where keen attention to detail and an ability to partner and lead the business is crucial to success.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
Business Leadership
- Lead the finance workstream of establishment the India business
- Build the FP&A process, leveraging on regional best practices
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver P&L and Cash Flow targets
- Actively manage Risks & Opportunities
System and Process Improvement
- Lead Finance IT systems implementation for India, across ERP and EPM.
- Establish P&L analytics across Categories, Sub-categories, Channels, and Retailers/ Customers.
- Partner closely with Controller team to ensure clear linkage between statutory & management reports.
- Continuously explore and implement IT solutions to automate and streamline core finance processes.
Working Capital Management
- Partner with cross-functional business teams to create Cash Flow forecast linked to P&L Forecast. Provide clear liquidity requirements to Corporate Finance Team.
- Work with commercial teams to ensure optimal levels of Working Capital -> Inventory, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable
Strategic Initiatives
- Represent the Finance function for key strategic projects, working alongside business and functional leaders.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably in a fast-paced industry such as Consumer Goods, FMCG, and Retail. Comfortable in a multi-national setting managing both local and regional stakeholders.
- Experience in both well-established MNCs and start-up environments is preferred.
- Strong business acumen, on top of financial expertise.
- Strong track record of business partnering to drive growth plans, improving profitability, managing forecast and risks & opportunities.
- Ability to effectively partner with and/or challenge senior leadership.
- Able to handle multiple projects & priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication skills: able to analyze complex business & financial topics, simplify and drive action to multi-functional teams.
- Hands-on and adaptable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a strategic mindset as well as strong operational agility.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Office skills required, especially the need to have exceptional financial modeling skills. Proficiency in Business Analytics systems such as Power BI is preferred.
