We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, optimizing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers Company’s wealth management technology platform. You will work on high-volume, high-availability systems and collaborate closely with engineering, product, and AI teams to ensure our solutions are efficient, scalable, and secure. This is an opportunity to solve complex data challenges, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to solutions used across the global financial services industry. What You’ll Do Design, build, optimize, and manage relational and non-relational database systems across our platforms. Write high-performance SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines to support application and reporting needs. Ensure data integrity, availability, reliability, and security across production and development environments. Collaborate with application developers to optimize schema design, indexing strategies, and query performance. Support ETL workflows, data transformations, and integrations with internal and external systems. Implement and maintain database monitoring, alerting, backups, and disaster recovery processes. Contribute to data architecture decisions, including scalability planning and modernization initiatives. Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and resolve database-related incidents. Help evolve our data engineering best practices and documentation standards. What You Bring 5+ years of experience as a Database Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role. Expertise in SQL Server , PostgreSQL, or another major RDBMS. Strong skills in writing optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Strong skills in SQL Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers, etc.. Experience with data modeling , schema design, and database normalization. Proficiency with ETL processes , data pipelines, and integration techniques. Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, etc.). Familiarity with data security practices in regulated industries. Understanding of CI/CD , automation tools, and modern DevOps workflows. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have Experience with Microsoft SQL Server . Exposure to Azure cloud services, including Data Factory, Synapse, or managed SQL offerings. Background in financial services , wealth management, or revenue-based systems. Knowledge of NoSQL technologies , such as MongoDB or Redis. Experience with .NET or scripting languages for automation. Knowledge of Data warehouses, Data Lakes, MS Fabric, and Snowflake.
