Job Description:
The role of an AWS Dev Ops Engineer involves working with a team who are responsible for automating design, coding, and deployment of infrastructure within an AWS Environment.
Responsibilities:
The Dev Ops Lead Engineer is responsible for creating software deployment strategies that are essential for the successful deployment of software in the work environment. They identify and implement data storage methods like clustering to improve the performance of the team
The Lead Dev Ops Engineer will be involved in creating technology infrastructure, automation tools, and maintaining configuration management. They will be accountable for conducting training sessions for the juniors in the team, and other groups regarding how to build processes wherein the dependencies are showcased in the code. They are also answerable for the architecture and technical leadership of the complete Dev Ops infrastructure
He/She will develop and implement lifecycle infrastructure solutions and will collaborate with development and other cross functional team to create operational roadmaps.
He/She will design and develop tool chains for managing and applying Dev Ops principles, such as CI/CD automation and Iaa C (Infrastructure as a Code).
He/She will evaluate and implement new frameworks to boost the team's productivity.
The Dev Ops Lead Engineer will be required to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices via research, tests, and execute new techniques which could be reused and applied to the software development project.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Windows and Linux Sys Admin experience (3+ years)
Strong AWS experience (e.g., EC2, RDS, IAM, EKS/Kubernetes, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation/Terraform)
Chef/automation experience
Strong AWS experience (EC2, RDS, IAM, Cloud Formation)
Scripting experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Ruby and Bash are musts (also desired experience in some of these additional areas: Node JS, Perl, Php, Power Shell, etc.)
Experience with source control revision tools - GIT (preferred), SVN, RCS, CVS, etc.
PKI, SSL Certificate management (and certificate chaining) * Open SSL, IIS
Web hosting experience using Nginx, IIS, Apache, Tomcat
Knowledge of PSExec
Agile experience
Strong coding methodologies & best practices
