Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses, ensuring effective water management and conservation strategies.
  • Integrate environmental and regulatory standards into irrigation designs.

Project Planning and Management:

  • Prepare and review project documentation, including technical specifications, reports, and construction drawings.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
  • Conduct site assessments and work with construction teams to implement designs accurately.

Technical Support and Quality Assurance:

  • Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to construction and maintenance.
  • Ensure that all irrigation designs adhere to industry standards, sustainability practices, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct quality control inspections and provide recommendations to optimize system performance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or diploma in autocad or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in irrigation design and engineering, with a strong background in CAD design and coordination.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS office, MS project, EPANET, Water Gems or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of hydrological modeling, hydraulic calculations, and water management systems.
  • Familiarity with GIS applications, and other design and mapping tools.

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, codes, and standards related to irrigation systems.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
