This role will oversee our Review and Peer Review Teams, ensuring rigorous scientific and editorial standards while driving efficiency, innovation, and team success.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Review and Peer Review Teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance cultureOversee the complete manuscript review workflow from submission to publicationIdentify inefficiencies and process bottlenecks; implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput and reduce timelinesMonitor industry trends and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, workflow automation) to enhance productivity and author experienceMaintain the highest standards of scientific rigor, editorial excellence, and ethical publishing practicesCollaborate with our Editorial Department to provide authors with a clear, streamlined, and positive experience from submission to publicationCollaborate with external stakeholders (authors, reviewers, etc.) to ensure a seamless peer and editorial review processTrack key performance metrics, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational goalsIdentify opportunities for new journal sections and special content aligned with emerging research trendsRequirementsA Ph.D. in life sciences.Minimum 7 years of experience in academic or scientific publishing with proven expertise in peer review and editorial workflowsDemonstrated success in leading and managing editorial or review teamsStrong knowledge of peer review models, open access publishing, and evolving trends in scholarly communicationExperience with digital publishing platforms and workflow automation tools.
