At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business.Position Summary:The LEAD PACKAGING DESIGN SYSTEMS ENGINEER is focused on the successful delivery and ongoing support of Esko design systems, including new implementations and upgrades.The candidate will play a key role in project planning and hands-on execution, ensuring smooth data migration and system optimization.They will develop design libraries, automate workflows using Automation Engine, and drive adoption of new product features to enhance business efficiency.Responsibilities include providing user training, managing software licenses, and troubleshooting issues across various technical layers (database, UI, business logic, servers).The role requires proactive engagement with users to resolve issues effectively and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.Additionally, the candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety policies while continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and maximize resource value.The position supports design enhancement and promotes adoption of Esko’s evolving product features.Active engagement with users, process improvement, and compliance with safety standards are key pillars.A focus on innovation, efficiency, and value generation underpins every aspect of the role.Key Responsibilities:Be responsible for delivery of the technical for new implementations or upgrades of Esko design systems. This includes assisting in planning and hands-on execution of projects.Assist with data migration, loading and cleansing as requiredDevelop and/or train Designers to enhance the library or parametric designsEnhance existing and build new workflows on Automation Engine to drive efficiency within the businessResponsible for understanding the evolving roadmap of Esko products and drive adoption of new features and applications that will deliver value to the businessProvide user training as requiredMaintain the license inventory and manage the adds, moves and changes of licensing to staffTroubleshoot/debug application issues at all levels, including database, user interface, business logic, interfaces, file system and web/database serverEngage with business users via email, chat, phone, screen-share etc. in the provision of support and pro-actively seek effective resolution of issues to the satisfaction of usersIdentify problems and implement improvements to resolve repeat issuesComply with corporate OHS&E policiesChallenge the status quo, identify opportunities to stabilize/improve solutions, process and reduce effort or gain greater value from available resourcesKey Skills:Excellent applied skills across the Esko suite of products including ArtiosCAD, Automation Engine and StudioExcellent analytical skills, and an ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and effectivelyExcellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to articulate and convey information in both technical or non-technical language as requiredConfident communicating with business users in the technical aspects of Packaging DesignAbility to work as part of a team, but must be self-reliant and able to work independentlyGeneral IT skills including database design and administration and basic programming is preferableAbility to travel is preferableKey Relationships:Team Members (Peers)SAP Business AnalystsOther IDT Team membersKey Stakeholders:Internal to Visy:IDT Staff and ManagementFinancial ControllersPlant ManagersBusiness usersExternal to VisyVendorsIntelligence forumsKey Requirements:Experience & Qualifications, Mandatory (critical for the Role):5+ years of experience as a system administrator or packaging designer using the Esko product suiteExpert knowledge of the Esko product suite, in particular ArtiosCAD Enterprise and Automation EngineA background as a packaging designer in the corrugated industry is preferableKnowledge of DB concepts, MS SQL Server/T-SQL is desirableExperience in delivering IT technical service and process in line with ITIL methodology is highly desirableExposure to ITSM/Project Management Tools like ServiceNow/Jira is desirable
