This role will be based in Bangalore, India.
At Linked In, we trust each other to do our best work where it works best for us and our teams. This role offers a hybrid work option, meaning you can both work from home and commute to a Linked In office, depending on what’s best for you and when it is important for your team to be together.
Responsibilities:
- You will own the front-end development for one or more of our products and collaborate with visual/interaction designers, other engineers, and product managers to launch new products, iterate on existing features, and build a world-class user experience.
- You will implement cutting-edge technologies and will be writing state-of-the-art code to keep Linked In at the cutting edge of current technology.
- Your specific expertise will be required to make the site delightful, secure, performant and accessible to all our members.
- You will meet with colleagues including product managers, designers and other engineers assigned to your project(s).
- You will provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and company-wide critical programs. Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with semantic HTML, CSS and object-oriented Java Script, j Query
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive programming experience in modern Java Script / Type Script / similar languages; similar frameworks such as Ember JS / React
- Experience developing multi-tier scalable and user-centric reliable applications that operate 24x7
- Deep foundational knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Knowledge of UI and animation frameworks, touch user interface, and MVP application design
