We’re seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead our forward-thinking, innovative team at RUCKUS Networks in Bangalore. If you're a dedicated software professional with a passion for cutting-edge Wi-Fi Access Point product development, we’d love to hear from you. Domain expertise on Wi-Fi Access Point in Software Developement is Must What You'll Do: Lead a high-performing Software Engineering team focused on Wi-Fi Access Point product development. Collaborate closely with product management to define feature roadmaps and project deliverables. Drive complex feature development to solve key customer challenges and pain points. Ensure on-time project delivery with a focus on quality and zero defects. Participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and guide the team toward adopting best practices. Act as the key technical anchor and point of contact for cross-functional teams. Recruit, mentor, and build a talented, passionate engineering team. Foster continuous improvement by reducing lead time, enhancing productivity, and developing team capabilities. Stay ahead of industry trends, keeping an eye on market solutions to maintain product competitiveness. Overcome technical challenges by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. What we need: 18+ years of experience in Wi-Fi Access Point or equivalent product development. Proven hands-on experience in delivering critical feature enhancements. In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi standards, specifications, and access point architecture. Strong understanding of network topology, deployments, and integration of AP with controllers and cloud-based solutions. Familiarity with Wi-Fi chip vendor SDKs, driver architecture, and components like firmware, encryption, and hardware offload. Experience with security certifications (e.g., FIPS, CC/CSfC, USGv6, NIST). Expertise in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes. Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire innovation. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics, or Communications.
