Job Description: Chief Electrical Engineer Position Title: Chief Electrical Engineer Location: Nashik or Mumbai Department: Engineering Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Job Summary: The Chief Electrical Engineer will lead the electrical design and operations across multiple data center sites.

This role is critical in developing and implementing cutting-edge electrical solutions that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and autonomy of our data centers, ensuring they meet the highest standards of operational excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities: Advanced Electrical System Design and Innovation: Design and oversee the implementation of sophisticated electrical architectures that support high reliability and future scalability.

Focus on integrating new-generation technologies to move towards fully autonomous data center operations.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and integrate innovative technologies and solutions to keep the data centers at the forefront of the industry.

OEM Partnership and Product Expertise: Cultivate strong relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to understand and leverage the best and latest in electrical system components and solutions.

Utilize deep OEM insights to enhance system designs and solve complex challenges in electrical implementations.

Rapid Fault Identification and Resolution: Lead quick-response teams to promptly address and resolve any electrical incidents, minimizing downtime and operational disruption.

Develop robust processes and criteria for fast-track Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence of issues.

Leadership and Strategic Oversight: Mentor and manage a diverse team of electrical engineers and technicians across various locations, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Ensure all team members are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and continue to meet and exceed industry standards.

Compliance and Safety Excellence: Guarantee that all electrical systems and projects comply with national and international standards, and adhere to regulatory and environmental requirements.

Champion a safety-first culture, implementing rigorous protocols and continuous training for all team members.

Project and Resource Management: Efficiently manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with technical specifications.

Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and forecasting to ensure optimal efficiency and resource utilization.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role specifically within the data center sector.

Skills: Expertise in the design and operation of complex electrical systems in data centers.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance and innovation.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong track record in rapid fault analysis and resolution.

Proficient in the latest electrical engineering software and tools, with a keen understanding of new technologies shaping the industry.

Certifications: Relevant data center certifications such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS), or Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD).

Safety certifications such as OSHA Certification or equivalent.

Additional Requirements: Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills with an emphasis on client relationship management.

Willingness to travel as needed to meet operational requirements and project demands.
