Designation: Senior Manager/Deputy Director - Industry Relations
Reporting to: Director - Career Guidance Centre (CGC)
Location: Hyderabad
AD – Industry Relations is a crucial position in CGC whose primary responsibility is to network with the Corporate for partnering with GITAM with the ultimate objective of ensuring internships and placement to all students of the specific schools assigned. He/she is expected to nurture the existing relationships to greater heights in terms of collaboration/strategic tie-ups etc.He/She will report to Director- Career Guidance Centre of the campus.
GCGC (GITAM Career Guidance Centre) is a strategic initiative aimed at guiding, training, and assisting students with the best career opportunities. To execute this mission GCGC operates across three major verticals Career Counseling and Mentoring , Training &Competence Development,and Career Fulfillment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Nurturing Corporate Relationships leading to Placements , Internships and PPOs for the school assigned.
- Building on existing relationships and fostering new relationships with corporates.
- Liaison between Industry and Academia
- Walking the extra mile in Industry -Academia partnership
- Inter School/campus support in referring the corporate to the other schools and campuses, as applicable
- Partnering with CGC teams of other campuses for leveraging the corporate network of the University
- Collaborating with GCGC for better conversions
Skillset/Professional Background Requirements
- Proven track record in Industry liaison
- Willingness to Travel extensively
- Coordinate between cross-functional teams
- Excellent networking and communication skills
- Good knowledge of computer applications
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Post-Graduation . MBA from premium institutes preferred
- 5 -15 years experience in relevant domain
- Adept with working on MS-office
A BRIEF ABOUT GITAM
GITAM (Deemed to be University) established in 1980 as a main campus based out of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Nestled in between the valley of Eastern Ghats and Bay of Bengal, the location is the most idyllic places in Andhra Pradesh. Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, popularly known as GITAM, was founded in 1980 by an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and industrialists of Andhra Pradesh led by Dr MVVS Murthi, former Member of Parliament, and a popular philanthropist. The vision of MAHATMA, the Father of the Nation was to see India as a socially and economically resurgent country and he looked upon education as an important means to achieve this goal.
